Worm steals 45,000 Facebook passwords, researchers say

A computer worm has stolen 45,000 login credentials from Facebook, security experts have warned.

The data is believed to have been taken largely from Facebook accounts in the UK and France, according to security firm Seculert.

The culprit is a well-known piece of malware - dubbed Ramnit - which has been around since April 2010 and has previously stolen banking details.

Facebook told the BBC that it was looking into the issue.

Iran enriching uranium at Fordo plant near Qom

Iran has begun enriching uranium at a heavily fortified underground site, the UN's nuclear watchdog has confirmed.

The International Atomic Energy Agency said medium-level enrichment had begun at the Fordo plant, in northern Iran.

Tehran has said it plans to carry out uranium enrichment there for purely peaceful purposes. The West argues Iran is building a nuclear weapons capacity.

The US said the Fordo work was a "further escalation" in the row. The UK and France also condemned the project.

Emergency crews are working through the night around the wreck of a stricken cruise ship, but fears are growing for the 29 people still missing.

Six people are known to have died after the Costa Concordia crashed into rocks off Italy's west coast on Friday night.

But local coast guard chief Marco Brusco said there was still a "glimmer of hope" that survivors could be found.
