Hobbit fans given taster of new Peter Jackson film
Film-maker Peter Jackson has unveiled a trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey a year ahead of its release.
The taster, showing Martin Freeman in the role of young Bilbo Baggins, is among a number of trailers released this week for 2012's big films.
A trailer for Batman film The Dark Knight Rises came out on Monday, after a six-minute prologue that was shown in cinemas earlier this month.

Self-repairing electronic chips are one step closer, according to a team of US researchers.
The group has created a circuit that heals itself when cracked thanks to the release of liquid metal which restores conductivity.
The process takes less than an eye blink to bring the circuit back to use.
The researchers said that their work could eventually lead to longer-lasting gadgets as well as solving one of the big problems of interplanetary travel.

US X Factor crowns first winner

The first winner of the US version of The X Factor has been named as Melanie Amaro from Sunrise, Florida.
Amaro, 19, won a $5m (£3.2m) contract with Simon Cowell's record label SyCo and a role in a TV commercial.
"I want to say 'America, thank you for giving this girl an opportunity'," said Cowell after Amaro was named the winner ahead of runner-up Josh Krajcik, 30.
More time at school 'boosts IQ'
Spending more time at school may increase intelligence, according to a study of Norwegian men.
The research, in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, suggested that an extra year in the classroom could boost IQ by nearly four points.
The authors said that extra schooling had a "sizeable effect" on IQ in early adulthood.
